Summer Vacation
Well we are on our little vaction now. We are in Canada until the 18th of Aug and then back to Utah for a few days and then 3 days traveling back to Tennessee. It is nice to be up here with family. All of my family is up here so i can see everyone. I will be trying to post new things that we have been doing weekly for all of you but expecially for Geoff to see what we are doing since he can not be here with us. But the only bad thing is since we have been here it has been raining a lot. We have some fun things planned like camping, reunion, zoo, calaway park, thunder in the valley, going to see lion king the broadway and just hanging out with the family. So hope you come back to see what we have been up too. Later

First Time Swimming of the year
This was our first time going swimming this year. It was on June 22. We have friends that have a pool at their apartment complex and they invited us. Both Mercedes and Geoffrey had a lot of fun.
This is where geoffrey liked to hang out. On the stairs.
Mercedes all decked out. She had to wear the goggles. they did not last for very long because they were to tight. But she wanted to put them on so bad.
you can see how tight they are in this picture.
Geoffrey testing out the water. They both love the water and love swimming. Mercedes is super excited for her swimming lessons that she is going to start on the 20th of July she is definatly getting better and better she used to hate putting her face in but now she loves it and pretends she is swimming. I love to be in the water to so it is going to be a fun summer if it ever stops raining up here.
My First 5K
Well I did it I ran my fisrt 5K on June 20th. I wanted something that i could challenge myself to workout harder. So 5 weeks before I emailed some ladies in my ward to see if anyone was in to do this with me. After I had commited and payed for it i was a little worried about what i had done. How could i possibly run 3.1 miles i was always dead after running 1 mile. Well I started challenging myself and pretty soon i was running 2 miles. Then i finally worked up to running the whole 3.1 miles. The day of the race came and i was so scared. I wanted to finish the 3.1 miles in 30 minutes that was my goal. Well we started the race and i was doing pretty good. I kept my pace up and was right on track and then at about the last mile i had to slow way down. I had to go Pee it was killing me. Well i never made it in my 30 minutes I did it in 33.36 minutes. Also it was crazy hot that day. Our race was at 8:30am and it was 90 degrees with crazy humitity I thought i was going to die. But i finished. I finally accomplished a goal that i set for myself.
These are the 2 other women that ran with me. Julia McGraw and Myra Sowrd. This was before the race started

Kid Comfort
So Back in January I heard about this company called Kid Comfort and they make blankets for kids that their parents are deployed well i subbmitted my stuff and recieved an email saying that they would not be able to start on them until March i was fine with that. Well we got ours today. I was so excited and so were the kids. They have already taken to loving them and draging them everywhere. They could not have done a better job at picking out the fabric too. Geoff loves Animals and Mercedes loves princesses and faries so it was perfect.

The 80s are back
Butterfly Garden
While we were in D.C. for our little vacation we went to a butterfly garden. I was very cool. There were hundreds of butterflies. Mercedes loved all of the different colors. You had to watch where you were walking because they would land on the ground and maybe even land on you.

Easter Outfits
Easter Baskets
These are my kids getting the eggs that the easter bunny left them to guide them to there baskets. Geoffrey got really excited when he say them outside of his room.
Here is mercedes with her stash. She had to try and grab as many as she could find.
Her with her basket. She was so excited that when she left her basket empty that the easter bunny filled it up for her while she was sleeping. She really was not happy when she asked where the bunny was and I told her that the bunny comes when you are asleep and then leaves again. She wanted to see her Girl Bunny. That is what she calls the easter bunny.
Putting her eggs in her basket.
Geoff with his handfull of eggs.
So I put there baskets up so they could not get to them whenever they felt like it because Geoffrey would have eaten everything in one sitting. But he found a way to get into it. He pulled the little stool over to the table so he could get into his basket. He has really started to pull that stool everywhere so he can get into things.
